This application relates.to a method of producrng ultraJrigh-purity pig iron by an  iron bath smelting reduction process. The method of producing ultra-6igh-purity pig
iron comprjses the foilowing  steps: screening raw materials to be fed into a vessel,
wherein the rau,materials to be fed into a vessel comprise ore powdel pulverised coal,
magnesium-containing flux and lirnestone powder; preheating and preoxidising the ore powdcr to
rcmove sulfur and arsenic in the orc powder; blowing the preheated and preoxidised
ore powder'and the magnesium-containing flux into thc smelting reduction vcsscl by an ore
powder injcction system; blowing the pulverised coal and the limestone powder into the smelting reduction vessel by a pulverised coal injection system; preparing initial molten iron by controlling the production conditions in the smelting reduction vessel; and desulfurising the initial molten iron outside the vessel to prepare ultra-high-purity pig iron. ln this method, ore powder with lower grade is pre-oxidised before being fed into the smelting reduction vessel, so as to achieve a desulfurisation rate of 50-80% and an arsenic removal rate of 30-40'/", and then the
production conditions in the smelting reduction vessel are controlled and desulphurisation outside thc vessel is perfotmed to producc ultra-high-purity pig iron. Through this method, the problem of cxcessive dependence on high-quality raw materials in domestic production of ultra-hilh-purity pig iron is sqlved.
